South Africa Hunts – H & H Safaris
Description
Guided Safaris
Come put your walk-and-stalk capabilities to the test in an area where walk and stalk frequently deliver success! Our Speciality challenge is to walk and stalk the highly alert Limpopo bushbuck, specifically in its dense habitat where it co-exists with Africa's super stealth hunter, the leopard.
Where the leopard finds it difficult to stalk and bring down the bushbuck, imagine the sheer thrill of achievement that you will experience when you bring a bushbuck down in its own backyard , in the same way as the leopard does - by stalking stealthily!
We have various such walk-and-stalk conducive areas with winding trails that place our hunters in positions where they may most definitely also be in close enough proximity to the elusive "grey ghost", waterbuck, wildebeest, warthog, common duiker, steenbok, klipspringer, giraffe, impala, nyala, tsessebe, sable, etc...
Other challenges
In addition to ample walk-and-stalk opportunities, 12 carefully placed blinds and stands will allow you yet another way of hunting - this time by mimicking the preferred hunting method of the lion...Ambush! Three tree blinds, which are positioned way above the scent zone of animals, await to offer you astonishing views of the bushveld savannah, and 8 sunken blinds in addition to 1 ground level blind on top a typical dense Bushveld mountain ridge offer even more ways to get your trophy!
If this is not enough, imagine yourself in the darkness of night... hunting by using mostly your ears only... picking up noises that may indicate bushpig, African civet, caracal, brown or spotted hyena, African wild cat, lesser and large spotted genets, black backed jackal as well as porcupine. To allow you to take aim at an elusive nocturnal animal such as SOME of the above, only a dim head light will be switched on... and as you are aiming to take the shot, you hear the male leopards' territorial grunts in the distant night.
Responsibility and ethics
We ensure that the method of hunting will suit your level of experience. We can literally place you from fewer than 15 yards to over 300 yards away from a game animal.
However, let us never forget our ethical responsibility towards the animals that we hunt as sportsmen. Shots will only be taken once all concerned are happy that the risks of wounding an animal will be minimal if not zero. Time of the year
You may choose to hunt at any time of the year. We strongly recommend, though, that you consider to hunt from May till the end of October as the Bushveld temperatures are uncomfortably hot in the summer.
